Power and Oil & Gas Specialist

Greetings from Kelly Klosure Global Headquarters in Fremont, Neb. Since this is my first blog, I am going to start by telling you a little about myself. I have a wife, Becca, a 12-year-old daughter, Libby, and a chocolate lab named Kate.

When I’m not traveling for work or hauling Libby to soccer, I am doing my best to get out fishing. Here's a picture of one of this summer’s takers.

Most of my recent travel was spent working on turbine enclosure and paint/blast enclosures for nuclear power plant applications. One project of note is a relocatable, temporary enclosure to extend and protect the entrance to the containment at a nuclear plant on the Great Lakes. The large amount of material staged for entrance into the containment needed protection from high winds, and wind-driven rain and snow.

This Kelly structure was designed to cover the entrance as well as a 70’+ section of track holding materials to be delivered into the project by rail. The knee and ridge-brace design of the Kelly Klosure System2 building also met the added wind load of the region and the plant specific requirements. On a side note, this plant’s location also offers world-class walleye fishing. No, I didn’t get out . . . maybe someday.

As always, call or e-mail me anytime with questions regarding Kelly Klosure “industrial-strength” structures. If you want to talk shop on hot fishing spots, that works too.

I'll be at Power-Gen at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this week on November 12 & 13. Stop by booth #4342 – it would be great to see you.
