OPPD purchased the 11’2”W x 22’2”L x 8’/10’H Single Slope Kelly Klosure building to replace an aging structure that was no longer providing adequate protection for the electrical equipment it housed. The building was designed to handle the challenging environment and to fit into the unique space. Kelly’s preframed panelized building system also allowed for fast installation – reducing the time the electrical equipment was exposed to the elements.
The existing structure housing OPPD’s electrical equipment had deteriorated and no longer provided sufficient protection. In addition, the replacement needed to fit within a constrained and irregular site while withstanding a challenging environmental exposure. Minimizing installation time was critical to reduce the duration that sensitive electrical equipment would be left exposed to the elements during the transition.
