Stormy Weather?

I’m sitting in a hotel room here in New Hampshire thinking about the winter storm that came through this week.  I think the weather service named it “Janice”.  Out here in the Northeast, depending on where you were, Janice may not have had much of an impact on you.  Some areas, however, had over a foot and a half of snow and sustained winds over 40 MPH.  I wonder how many folks had issues with buildings and shelters after this storm?  We build our modular panels to be tough.  Our buildings can be built to withstand the most extreme design loads.  I’ve worked on buildings that have had to withstand hurricane winds and buildings that had to be able to hold up under 100 psf snow loads.  There aren’t many pre-engineered systems available that can do that.

As a by-product of our modular panel design, Kelly Klosure buildings lend themselves to being assembled in inclement conditions.  Wind, rain, and snow have much less effect on the assembly process vs. other types of construction.  This is due to the fact that each panel is framed around the perimeter with hot rolled structural steel channels and/or angles.  The durable design allows our panels to be lifted and placed without being as susceptible to damage by the wind and elements.  Having fewer components to assemble also helps make Kelly Klosure buildings a great system to use in tough weather conditions.  Since the building goes up fast, crews can concentrate on what has to go on inside and much less on what they have to do outside.
