I am heading to the airport this afternoon to work on budget estimates for HRSG drum enclosures at a plant in Mississippi.  Even though the project is still in the exploratory stages I think it’s important to visit the site and use what we’ve learned from past HRSG enclosure projects to provide budget estimates that are based on our experience and expertise.  Pictures and drawings can’t convey the information necessary to deal with the challenges involved in keeping HRSG’s from freezing.  The cost and time involved in this kind of project needs to be weighed against the benefit of not being shut down by the cold when your plant really needs to running.  A good budget estimate based on real world experience and enhanced by what you can only see by putting eyes on the problem is a great place to start.  If you are thinking about taking steps to make sure your plant can keep running no matter what winter throws at you – contact me to talk or set up a site visit.  I would love to help you get started.
